Henry Moore Studios & Gardens — Ticket Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all ticket purchases for entry to Henry Moore Studios & Gardens (“Studios & Gardens”, “we”, “us”, “our”), operated by The Henry Moore Foundation. By buying a ticket (online or on site) you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms.
1) Ticket types, validity and admission
Annual tickets. Unless otherwise stated, standard admission is issued as an annual ticket valid for 12 calendar months from the date of purchase and allows repeat entry during our open season(s) while the ticket remains in date. We may ask you to present photo ID to verify the named ticket holder on arrival. Admission may be refused if identity cannot be verified.
Named tickets. Tickets are issued to a named visitor and are non‑transferable.
Peak/closed periods. Your ticket does not guarantee admission on dates when the site is closed (e.g., winter closure) or when capacity is reached (see Sections 2–3).
Concessions & discounts. Where published, concessions and discounts (e.g., Art Pass) apply as stated at checkout and will require valid proof on arrival.
Right to refuse admission. We reserve the right to refuse or revoke admission for safety, security, or breach of these Terms.
2) Opening dates, early closures and capacity
Seasonal opening. Studios & Gardens typically operates a defined visitor season and closes over winter. Outside the open season, the estate is not open to the public. Please check opening dates before travelling.
Partial closures. Individual spaces may be closed, timed, or separately ticketed. Availability is not guaranteed on any given day.
Capacity controls. For safety and conservation reasons we may operate timed entry and/or restrict access to specific areas at peak times.
3) Weather, attire and outdoor conditions
Outdoor site. Much of the estate is grassland and unpaved, which can become muddy in wet weather. Please wear sturdy, practical footwear and dress for the forecast.
Wet‑weather operation. The site remains open in rain/wet conditions. Your comfort depends on appropriate clothing and footwear.
Severe weather. In the event of severe or unsafe weather (e.g., storms, high winds), we may close the site at short notice and will outline your options under Section 6 (Cancellations & refunds).
4) Dogs, children’s play items and prohibited items
Dogs. Pet dogs are not permitted in the gardens or car parks. Badged assistance dogs are welcome. Please do not leave dogs in vehicles or request staff to look after them.
Children’s play items. To protect the artworks and ensure everyone’s enjoyment, ball games, bikes, scooters and similar play equipment are not permitted in the gardens.
Drones are not permitted
5) Sculptures, studios and conservation
Touching sculptures. You may gently touch outdoor artworks. Please avoid anything that could scratch/dent bronze (e.g., jewellery/buckles), and do not step, sit or climb on plinths.
Follow staff guidance. Please follow instructions from our Visitor Services team and volunteer guides at all times.
6) Cancellations and refunds
Tickets are non‑refundable.
Our cancellation/closure.
If we close the site or materially restrict access to most visitor areas (e.g., for severe weather or operational reasons), we will where possible detail this information on our website
For partial closures of specific space where the wider gardens/studios remain open, we will not normally offer refunds.
Events and add‑ons. Event tickets and add‑ons may carry different terms stated at purchase.
7) Hoglands
Separate ticket. Hoglands tours are not included in annual admission and require a separate, on‑the‑day ticket (limited capacity).
Availability. Tours are limited in numbers and may sell out or be unavailable on certain dates. Access is not guaranteed.
8) Accessibility and mobility
Terrain. The gardens include grassland and unpaved paths; some areas can be challenging for wheelchairs/mobility scooters after rain. Visitors are welcome to bring suitable mobility devices; a limited number of mobility scooters/wheelchairs are available to book in advance via Visitor Services but may not be used in internal spaces.
Facilities. Accessible toilets and baby changing are available at designated locations.
Assistance: Please contact us ahead of time if you have specific access needs.
9) Photography, filming and sketching
Personal use. Personal photography is welcomed in the gardens, studios and Aisled Barn. No photography is permitted inside Hoglands. Please keep flash off indoors and be mindful of other visitors. Tripods are not permitted.
Commercial use. Any professional, commercial or press photography/filming requires prior licensing, from our Image Library.
Sketching. Sketching is welcome; please avoid obstructing paths and take all materials/rubbish with you.
10) Safety, security and conduct
Children & groups. Under‑18s must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. School/college groups must meet published supervision ratios and follow on‑site instructions (see our Educational Visits T&Cs).
Prohibited conduct. Any behaviour that risks damage to artworks, facilities or wildlife, or that impacts other visitors’ enjoyment, may result in removal from site without refund.
The smoking of cigarettes (or e-cigarettes and vaping devices) is strictly prohibited anywhere onsite.
Property & vehicles. We are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property or vehicles.
11) Ticketing, pricing and payment
Pricing. Prices are shown at checkout and may change from time to time.
Payment. We accept cash, major debit/credit cards and common mobile wallets.
Gift Aid. Eligible UK taxpayers may opt to Gift Aid annual tickets; we collect minimal details to process the claim in line with our privacy policy.
Name & contact details. Tickets include your name and contact details for admission and safety purposes; ID may be required (see Section 1).

13) Your data & privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with The Henry Moore Foundation’s Website Privacy Policy and related policies.
14) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published at the point of purchase (or most recently notified to you) applies.
15) Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
On the Day of Your Visit
Please be aware of the following before you travel:
Footwear & weather: Much of the site is grassland and can become muddy in wet weather, so please wear sturdy, practical shoes and dress for the forecast.
Picnicking: You are welcome to bring your own picnic however we ask that you only use our dedicated picnic areas which are displayed on our map. We also ask you dispose rubbish responsibly using our bins provided or taking it home with you.
Dogs: Pet dogs are not permitted anywhere on site (gardens or car parks). Badged assistance dogs only are allowed. Please do not leave dogs in vehicles.
Seasonal/area closures: The estate operates a seasonal opening schedule, and some areas may be closed or limited on certain days. Please check opening information before setting off.
